Be the best you.

In the three pillars of freedom there are financial freedom, personal freedom, and freedom of health. You need all three to live a free life. Without just one your life could come crashing down on your head. Let’s have a look at your health. To be free you must take responsibility for your own health. Especially with government now poking its fingers into healthcare you have to take care of yourself and that of your children. I have recently started focusing on my health. I am gobbling up podcast like Shawn Stevenson’s The Model Health Show. I feel as he does that food is medicine, and even if you take medications that medicine just stimulates process in the body. But the body does the healing. I am also a big believer in whole natural foods. The ones that come out of my garden are of course are the best. I have cut out all sugars and grains from my diet, and replaced them with leafy greens and fruits. I try to grow what I can, and the other I buy the healthiest foods I can find. I am currently planting and planning on planting more and more fruit and nut trees. Currently I have strawberries, granny smith apples, and tart cherries with plans to add more varieties of apples along with peaches, plums, pears, blueberries, and almonds. My plan is to grow lettuce, kale, spinach, and chard. I have become a big fan of kale. I have left the fast food industry behind. Fast food is poison stay away from it if at all possible. They peddle food like substances not real food. Real and natural = healthy. Whole grass feed meats and organic green vegetable and fruits may cost more, but it’s an investment into yourself and your future. I want every one of us to be the best we can be for ourselves and our families. Don’t expect government to take care of you. They can’t even balance a budget. I would not trust government to wash my windows, but especially not my health and freedom.
Take small steps such as this. I start my mornings with my green smoothie. It has vegetables, fruit, healthy fats, and protein. It is as follows: (I don’t really measure just toss these into the blender)
1. Organic Kale
2. Unsweetened Almond milk
3. Organic Almond
4. Flax Seed
5. Stevia
6. Frozen blue berries, raspberries, and strawberries.
7. Cinnamon
Make small changes in your life can have the biggest results. Start with more sleep, drink more water, and drop sugars and grains.
